Preamble

Our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy apply to and govern your use of our website. You should read both of these documents before using the website. We also recommend that you review them regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes that we may make. However we will try to ensure that any such changes are publicised both within the documents and on the home page latest news section of our website. News can be obtained by subscribing to the Momentum RSS feed.

Who we are

In these Terms of Use references to ‘Momentum’, ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ are to Momentum Youth Development Community Interest Company. References to ‘our website’ or ‘the website’ are to www.youthmomentum.org, www.youthmomentum.co.uk, www.youthmomentum.com, www.youthmomentum.org.uk references to ‘our work’ or ‘our services’ are to the Momentum youth development programme, Momentum international youth network and other projects and services described on the website.

Purpose of the website

Our website is designed to promote our services, to provide information, to encourage young people to join our international network, to bring us into contact with adults who share a professional interest in our area of work, and to attract the interest of potential partner or sponsor organisations.

Intellectual property

The website, including its trade marks, logos, design, text and graphics, is owned by and remains the property of Momentum Youth Development CIC, except in cases where materials from a third party are hosted here, in which case copyright remains with the content’s owners. You may not modify, adapt or in any way exploit (whether for commercial gain or otherwise) any content from this website without prior written consent from us, and from any other entities with an interest in the relevant intellectual property.

Accuracy, reliability and security

We try to the best of our ability to ensure that the content of the website is accurate and up to date and that the services provided by the site are reliable. However, we cannot guarantee that the operation of the website will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that this site or the server on which it is located are free of viruses or other harmful defects. You should take appropriate precautions to ensure that any content you download is free of viruses or other harmful content.

Using the website

You undertake to use the website appropriately and in accordance with these Terms of Use. You are expected to be mindful of the fact that the website and its content are intended to support our work with young people, including minors, and that many of the users of the website are young people. You must therefore ensure that the way you use the website is consistent with protecting the physical and emotional safety and wellbeing of young people both online and offline. You must not attempt to disrupt, damage or otherwise interfere with the website, or bring the website or Momentum into disrepute by your actions.

Contributions, posts and registration
If you contribute material or post comments, whether solicited or unsolicited, to our website, or if you fill in our online registration form, you agree to observe the following rules:

  • You will not pretend to be someone else. You will not act on behalf of another person.

Our website provides links to websites which we do not control, such as our partner or sponsor organisations, both in the UK and overseas. These links are provided in order to offer a better service.
