Young people from Momentum have taken first prize in the Youth in Action film category of the British Council and Ecorys ‘Your Story’ Competition. Well done to Richard Codd (UK), Jordan Searcey (USA) and Ana Dageretziz (Germany) for working hard to make the winning film with participants from two special schools in Rotherham, South Yorkshire (Kelford & Hilltop).

The competition had three sections, written, photo and film and there were some great entries. Our film was an afternoon challenge set within the leadership course and it was to make a short film which explained a little about what was happening at the S-Factor. It was shown on the big screen during the half time interval.
Abby Morley who was a participant on this years course has been invited to London to recieve the award on behalf of the team on the 24 November at the British Council London offices.
The Youth in Action Team will be posting this news on their websites in the next day or so as well as posting some of the photos from the picture competition, you can view these on the main British Council website homepage.
The film making was supported by Richard Codd (www.teamkatalyst.co.uk) who was a volunteer for Momentum on the International Leadership course. Shortly after the S-Factor to run his own international project with a partner group from Holland under the umbrella of Momentum.

The S-Factor business and enterprise project was an awesome example of inclusion involving 4 schools ( 2 mainstream and 2 special needs) as well as working with young professionals from 6 different countries. Momentum are proud to be supporting such innovation in education – thanks to Nick Whittaker and his staff for making the magic happen.
