Personal Development & International Networking for Young People

We are a not-for-profit organisation providing personal development programmes for young people. We are registered in England as a Community Interest Company.

Our mission is to create sustainable change in the lives of young people and their communities.

Our aims are:

• To enable young people to expand their horizons and aspirations, give them a positive direction and help them prepare for working life.
• To increase young people’s participation in international projects and exchanges.
• To empower and motivate young people in their home community through local projects and groups.
• To cultivate an international network of similarly motivated young people.
• To recognise, value and celebrate young people’s positive contribution to society.
• To add value to the work of other educational and youth organisations

 

So what do young people think?

Who is Momentum for?

Our activities are mostly for young people aged 15 and over, in particular those with fewer opportunities. We work closely with schools, youth organisations, universities and commercial companies. Our work is UK-focused but international in character, and we have partners in many different countries.

Momentum programmes are about changing lives. We offer a dynamic new approach to personal development which enables young people to grow into self-confident, active individuals, empowers them to become the agents of change within their peer groups and communities, and gives them a CV to be proud of. When a young person starts to ask “where can I go next?”, Momentum is the answer

We also provide a range of specialist consultancy services to organisations and groups across the education and youth sector

We are a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee. Any operational financial surplus generated will be re-invested in the Company and not distributed to shareholders.
